Help on giving my beginning a twist.....?

Ok.... in my opinion my beginning sounds so cliche ( I admit) so can anyone help me on giving it a twist... ok so here it goes: The story Jason's (jason is a baby) parents are killed by someone involved with the dark side, and so then someone finds the baby and takes them to their house, then years pass and then he finds out that he is destined to be great.....it sounds so harry potter and need help giving it a twist so it is different and original....any suggestions?
