Can anyone help my beginning...it is so cliche... any...suggestions?

Ok no one in the books and authors category decided to help so I am instead asking this category, with the hope you will answer, ok so this is my beginning: My story is about a family who have a baby boy (christopher) they all are a happy family because one day Christopher's parents are killed by someone evil... then someone finds christopher (with no parents) and decides to adopt him... then twelve years go by and he finds out that he is destined to be great....like his father.... that sounds so cliche and not original....and so harry potter....can anyone give me a few suggestion to keep my right brain working.... i am not asking for a full developed bujustt at least a concept to get my head thinking out of the box.... thank you and xoxoxoxoxo
